Mission Free is back and I'm honored that you are here!
A little bit about me…
I've always been a creative gal. Making crafts and art were always my favorite hobbies that allowed me to express myself while also creating beautiful things for people in my life. Since the beginning, each piece I've made has been thoughtfully created by hand. Authenticity is very important to me and the “hand-made” aspect of life has always been my way. I've hand-made cards, cakes, party decor, and even classroom supplies that I could've easily bought at a store or online. The thing is, I not only love the process of making it, but I love that it's unique - no one else will be able to create THAT specific piece - whatever it may be. After countless friends and family members encouraged me to offer these products for sale, I took the leap. And Mission Free was born…
The start of Mission Free…
Back in 2016, after much time praying and overcoming my own excuses, God helped me to start Mission Free - an art ministry that gives back. It’s always been about Him. He is the one who gave me the passion and gift to be able to create and my deepest desires are to please Him and share His love with others. In fact, I combined another passion of mine - missions with my love of art to birth Mission Free. Giving to others has been a part of my make up since I was a little girl. My parents are strong believers who taught my brother and I to tithe and give on a regular basis, even when we didn’t have much to give. This value has only grown as I’ve developed my own understanding of tithing and giving. I desire to bless others - with time, energy, art, and money. That is the heart of Mission Free - art that truly does give back. We’ve partnered with local organizations to create blessing bags, bought beds, shoes, and more for people in Central America, supported many missionaries globally, and even taken our own trips to serve first hand. So know that when a Mission Free product is purchased, yes you are supporting a mom and her family, but more importantly, you are giving to others in need all around the world! And just in case you’re wondering, the funds go straight to the ground as much as we can. I have personal relationships with missionaries across the world and it’s my desire to make sure that what we donate goes straight to the need.
Where are we now…
After getting married in 2021 and having a baby in 2023, Mission Free dropped on the list of priorities, and rightfully so - we value family here! Now that I’ve had more time on my hands being home with my son, I’ve fervently prayed how God would have me use it. Yes, my number one priority is caring for my child, but what else did He want me to focus on? I felt I had more to give, more to share. When seeking out remote job opportunities fell through, I continued to pray. And you know where God took my mind and heart - every single time? Mission Free. So here we are! Revamping this little art ministry based in Pittsburgh! I couldn’t be happier to share with you what God has put on my heart. He’s teaching me daily and all I truly want to do is encourage others with words and art. Thank you for being here and coming along for the ride. I pray that God touches your heart as you journey with us!
