I was thinking the other day about how many prayers are being taken to the Lord in this time. How many people are crying out to God for help. Coming at that from a human perspective, one could reason that it must be overwhelming, impossible to hear all of them. The Lord reminded me that nothing phases Him. He is not overwhelmed by our prayers, He is not confused, He does not wonder how He will answer them. He WANTS to hear our prayers and He is more than capable to hear and answer them above and beyond what we think.
He cares for YOU.
His word says to take your worries and cares to God because He cares for YOU. [1 Peter 5:7]
Yes, YOU individually and specifically. He knows You as His creation and He LOVES you. Really. Let that sink into the depths of your heart.
He wants to hear our prayers.
As a Father, God wants to be in communication with His children. He does not want us sitting alone thinking how we will solve an issue on our own or wondering (fearing) what this pandemic will do to the world. NO. Christ says that He hears the prayers of the righteous. [Proverbs 15:29]. Make your requests made known to God and His peace will guard you [Philippians 4:6-7].
He is able.
The one who created you and me. Who fashioned the entire WORLD in His hands is able to answer our prayers! He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever. [Psalm 146:6] In fact, His word tells us that He will do so beyond our comprehension! Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. [Ephesians 3:20]
